Wildly popular and thoroughly unpredictable, New York City comedy collective Comedy Mob brings their Open Mic to New...
I’ve never been to a comedy club and this didn’t disappoint! All the comedians were super funny and talented. I would highly recommend doing this with friends or a loved one! The minimum is $20 per person so keep that in mind!
My experience was just okay. It felt sort of expensive -- I don't drink and didn't want pretzels or popcorn, so to meet my "minimum" I just handed the bartender $20, which brought my total for a matinee show to over $50. Also, I came solo, and usually I feel totally fine doing things solo, but the venue is comprised mostly of tables for two, so it felt awkward being seated with a random man and having to explain we're not a couple and need separate tabs. A couple of the comics were really impressive, most of them were just "meh" for me. (That said, I know stand-up comedy is hard and I wouldn't want to be up there myself!) All in all, I don't think I'd go back.
