First time going. Took my wife for Valentine’s date. The place was pretty mid. The comedians were solid, the service not so much. Took us almost 30 mins to get our first drink. We kept getting passed over. It’s been a while since ive gone out and had drinks at a club, but $22 seems steep for a double crown and coke. Maybe that’s the going rate, but geez. The service was bad enough to not be in a hurry to go back. I had 2 drinks, wife had 1. Plus, I ordered some mid chips and dip and she had a baked potatoe. $96 plus tip. Tickets were an additional $54. Yeah…. I can think of a lot of places that $175 would have been better spent.
Talent act we went to see was amazing! Upon arriving we were greeted by the manager who informed us the "stoners" from the night before ate most of their food and they were out of several options. We found out this extended into even bottled water. The atmosphere was small and cozy and rather enjoyable. The server greeted us and took our order and everything was great. Staff was very polite. The building was is bad shape with lights out, fixtures falling from the ceiling and even ceiling tiles having holes in them. My wife even pointed out she thought this was where the tornado did such damage a while back (it was). The speakers weren't balanced or tuned for the room making it harder to hear when the room became noisy. There was live music in the back as part of the show and it was really cool having that. The kitchen was surprisingly quiet for how busy they were. No added noise from there was actually a great surprise. The food they did have was decent. The legs were nice size but tasted like they were just covered in cheap BBQ sauce. The chicken quesadilla was great (although was far from actually tasting like Mexican food). Even though the venue is 18+ the act was family friendly without being a child's form of entertainment. I appreciate them booking an act who didn't rely on scraping the bottom of the barrel so to speak for crude laughs. If it were possible, I would have brought my kids also. It would be great if the had an option for this at some point. Clean up the environment, keep the kitchen stocked, and have a family night and I pay twice to three times what I did for tickets. Over all it was a great night. If the right acts are here, I might go back. Would definitely go see Kataura Sunshine again if he returns with a different act. Absolutely amazing!
