I took improv classes with Lita Lopez and they were marvelous as is Lita. Not only did I learn to be good at improv I developed some amazing life skills as well. I have to admit though that most the shows on Friday and Saturday evenings I did not find comical or entertaining. The group that Lita performed with was clearly my favorite and I generally enjoyed it a lot. Another awesome improv person I met here is named Jan Gass. I went all over the place to see her perform and even worked with her on the set a couple of times. I felt very strongly that Kent was extremely pushy and I daren't ever make Steve frustrated lest his verbal abuse become worse than I witnessed him direct towards many others. Improv goes in and out of style and most other locations to learn this art around LA have shut down recently. This is not a bad option; you just have to take it all with a grain of salt and decide which aspects of the program are worth giving credence towards. Another thing I ought point out that with the exception of Lita and Jan, the feedback I got here focused on the negative and avoided building up the positive. I did have fun here.

This place could not be any better . Russ is the man . He is a great teacher, performer, and mentor to everyone. Breadstick Bodega is a hilarious group. So essentially on Saturday nights you can pay 5 dollars and get access to multiple shows. The main show being at 8 and the next show starts around 930, both are great. Russ and his group perform every other Saturday so call ahead, but 1 ticket gets you in all night and its an exceptional comedy / improv show. Where else can you have this much fun for 5 dollars ? Also there are classes held at various times throughout the week by multiple improv teachers ! They are very fun and affordable .
