We recently visited Funny Bone Comedy Club and had a great time overall. Josh Woolf was absolutely hilarious and easily the highlight of the evening. He brought consistent laughs and really made the night worthwhile. That said, the food reminded us that we were there for the comedy—not the cuisine. The grilled chicken looked appetizing when it arrived, but unfortunately it lacked flavor and turned out to be quite chewy. It was underwhelming, especially considering the price point. We were also surprised that the only water option was a $4 bottled water comparable to Dasani. It’s uncommon for most bars or venues not to offer tap water, so that felt a bit excessive. As for the drinks, we had mixed feelings. The beers were served cold, which was great, but the “Rubber Duck” cocktail was disappointing. It seemed like more emphasis was placed on the novelty (including the glassware) than on the actual balance or strength of the drink. Overall, we’d return for the comedians—especially if the lineup is as strong as Josh Woolf—but we’d likely skip the food next time.
We saw Kelsey Cook here on 2/28. It was a great show, she is very funny. Our waitress was Morgan. She was very attentive, friendly, and fun. She did a fantastic job keeping everyone in our area happy. We had VIP tickets, but are not FUNNY BONE VIP members, so this was as close as we could be seated. We had an appetizer and soft drinks for $30 including the tip.
