DO NOT RENT FROM THIS THEATER!! THEY ARE CROOKS! We rented out this theater for a production and they forced us to us to sell tickets through their online ticket broker with the money going through them. I knew this was a terrible idea but the rate was good and we loved the place. As expected, at the end of our run, they started adding hidden fees to deduct from our ticket sales... Then sent us an amount to be paid to us. Then they haven't paid our ticket sales after their deductions. I should have listened to all the other reviews on this shady place. I warn you, do not do business with this place.
I saw "Who Shot Dayquan" today and it's a definite go and see. The writer/host covers nearly every angle of looking at the backstory(s) for the event of a white cop shooting a black teen. A black and white cast morphs between characters to tell different sides of a fully loaded issue. The "Dreamkiller" sequence is so telling, no matter what race, and the "perpetrator" might surprise you. The "Welfare" sketch is deep - digging into money, love, opportunity and a different kind of addiction. "Welfare" is perfectly performed and equally hilarious. The political sketch is revealing in that it shows how the special interests and greed of that sector domino into the most basic issues like being employed. The final sequence asks some of the most pertinent questions: what are YOU doing to help change the game?
